AVARY MACK......THE UNDERGROUND PHENOM

Among the hottest and the youngest Gh underground rappers of his generation is the Phenom......"Avary Mack".

Born on 6th November 1989 at Kade in the Eastern Region of Ghana to Mr. James Tabi and Mrs Vicky Awuah.

Avary Mack, known in real life as Michael Acquah was introduced to hip hop by his brother, a very loyal hip hop fan during his early stages in life. He lived most of his life in Kumasi. Avary attended Komfo Anokye J.H.S from stage 1 to J.H.S 2 and continued to Airport Int. School, where he completed his basic education in 2005. During those times, Avary rapped to his friends almost anytime he had the chance to. He was admitted to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) S.H.S. There, Avary developed more passion for his talent. He freestyled to himself when he was alone, when he heard music beats and when he was with his friends. He performed on school entertainment shows and was soon known for his great skill.

After S.H.S, Avary Mack was featured on a show on Focus fm, a music station in the Ashanti region. While on the show, he battled 3-lah who later became his buddy. 3-lah was really impressed by Avary's flow and he decided to work with him. Together, they founded the group, URBANITES, which is headed by 3-lah. In 2008, Avary and 3-lah released a single they called, "overnight money", which hit the streets of Kumasi big time. He performed on a facebook event somewhere this year (2009). Thus, Avary made a giant step towards his journey for stardom.

Asked what inspires him when writing his lyrics, he says " my dear haters, they give me the chance to write good lyrics, 'cos I've promised myself to shine on them"

Michael " Avary Mack" Acquah is working on a mixtape with Kottage records which is expected to hit the streets by next year.

Wanlov DaKubolor (Biography)

Wanlov is a half Romanian. He was born in Romania and raised in Ghana. He speaks Twi, English, Romanian and Pidgin English quite fluently.

Wanlov began by rapping lyrics of his favourite artistes; Busta Rhymes and Snoop dogg with his friends back in Adisadel college where he attended his Senior High School in Ghana. During those days he was known by friends and fans as Spooky.

He moved to the states to pursue higher education. Within two years in Temple, Texas, Wanlov was able to win over the respect of the local emcees in the Central Texas area with his pure talent, charisma and unrivaled lyrical skill.

After performing at local events and shows, he ventured out of Texas, making his imprints in both coasts.

Sometime in his life, Wanlov went through I.N.S abduction to a private holding facility in Laredo, TX for school status reasons. The pain of the injustice inflicted on him and most of the detainees he met in there and along the way, led him to the release of BAIL MONEY, a cry for help from family, friends and fans, giving a pretty detailed account of the hardship he went through during that period. This song caught the attention of SOURCE MAGAZINE editor, Geo Hagan, who decided to give Wanlov the necessary exposure he needed. He was featured in the spring 04 edition of the Ave Magazine.

Wanlov, seeing how hard it was to get into the music industry with positive, socially conscious messages while maintaining maintaining secular appeal, decided to started a record label; ROAR ENTERTAINMENT with his childhood best friend and fellow rapper, Gerald Hagan. With this foundation Wanlov was able to further promote himself and seek other "conscious" artistes to work with.

In the early months of 2005, Wanlov performed at Project Blowed in L.A's Leimert Park. He earned respect from the local and visiting emcees and audience alike. He performances keep the audience yearning for more.

He has many hit tracks as KOKONSA, SMALLEST TIME and recently an underground single ; BROKEN LANGUAGE, with his long time friend M3nsa, a UK based rapper of Ghanaian decent. They are also working together on a big time project, which all fans of his, M3nsa and music as a whole should be expecting.

Wanlov came down to Ghana to continue his career, and has since been based here. He has proved to be a multi-talented artiste.

Ndex Dadabee (Biography)

Ghana has many uncelebrated foreign based rappers. Most of these rappers are usually uncelebrated because their releases are not promoted in Ghana. I would be very glad if u took some minutes of your time to read this post… It is about one of the greatest young U.S based Ghanaian rappers ….. Just relax and let me tell you about this guy…………

Dexter Kwasi Owusu was born in Dallas, TX. After five (5) years, he was brought down to Ghana, he attended UPS and Alsyd. N-Dex realized his rap potential at an early age. By 13, he had already begun recording some of his sounds. He was sent back to the States at the age of 15 where he continued his sounds recording whilst he was still schooling.

In college(back in the States), Dexter “N-Dex” Owusu was known for his great rap skill. In 2004, he declared rap as his career. He released a mixtape entitled Ghanaboy Vol. 1 in 2006; it was a great success; he therefore released a “wild” album with the same title, “Ghanaboy”. Realizing that his music was doing good on the market, N-Dex released his next mixtape in 2007.

He later decided with Jean Pierre Duplan, his manager to do something more African and more “Gh-ish” for his fans back in Ghana; his motherland. N-Dex managed to acquire some beats from Hammer, a Ghanaian sound engineer, known for his great Hiplife instrumentals and began to do some hiplife tracks. He released “Flow me fans” which beat his imagination of how well it was going to do on the market. It is not surprising, how “Flow me fans” is making waves, because it is actually a great masterpiece.

Currently, he is working on a whole Ghanaian/ African album; “Nothing be simple” which he expects to release on 16th November. Aside this album, he is also working on “OPM” (other people’s music) 3, which according to him, is expected to be released on 4th July.

Some of his greatest hits are, “Flow me”, “Africa lady” remix and “Sormia”. He is also working with other Ghanaian rappers such as M3NSA, WANLUV (da kuborlor), and R2BEES.

If you really love music and hiplife, then you’ve got to hear N-Dex, when he does his own thing with the MIC. You can access some of his tracks at lifestylzgh.com
